Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 4 (Locobase 11618)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines, 1888, as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 15, p. 76. Works number was 9950 in April 1889. See wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocean_View_%28Norfolk%29, last accessed 15 August 2010)

Although briefly in the employ of this Norfolk to Hampton Beach street railway, the 4 went to the Wilmington Sea Coast in North Carolina (see http://www.wmpo.org/RTSB/beachcar.html for a description of this railway), but the electrification of that railway led to its sail to Angola Lumber in 1893.
