Class 106 (Locobase 12902)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines, 1890, as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 16, p. 69. Works number was 10656 in February 1890.

This line was taken into the Grand Trunk in 1898. The 106 was renumbered 1012 and placed in class J-1. The engine was renumbered twice -- 1042, 2118 -- before being scrapped in August 1920.

NB: Heating surface data is derived from comparison with the Kearney & Black Hills order of the same year, (Locobase 11697) which has identical firebox dimensions as well as identical tube counts, diameters, and length.
