Class 4 (Locobase 11840)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 12, p.256. Works number was 7786 in January 1886.

Locobase is a little surprised to have found 40 entries in which the stroke of the HP piston is at least double its diameter. This little Eight-wheeler bore several heralds. In 1888, the St J & H became the St J & H River. In 1893, it was reorganized as the St John, Augustine & Indian River and finally the Florida East Coast took over the St J, A & IR in 1995.

Three years later the FEC scrapped this virtually new locomotive.
