Class 11 (Locobase 14329)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 53, pp. 251+. Works number 42660 in November 1915.

This 41-mile (66-km) short line was based in Nebraska, Pa, northeast of Pittsburgh and near the New York line. It was incorporated in 1900 and built 30 miles of its own, acquired the six miles from the Tionesta Valley & Salmon Creek Railway in a 1901 merger and the five miles owned by the Tionesta Valley and Hickory Railway in 1911.

The lightest rails, as the S&T described them, weighed 52 lb/yard (26 kg/metre). Maximum grades sloped up only 2% and the curves were relatively gentle arcs of 16 degrees (radii of 359 feet/109.4 metres).

The 11 served the line for almost 30 years before it was put up for sale in 1943, three years before the railroad closed.
