New Orleans, Texas & Mexico 4-4-0 "American" Locomotives of the USA

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class E- 69 - 19.7 (Locobase 7763)

Data from MP SUBS 7 - 1935 Locomotive Diagrams supplied in May 2005 by Allen Stanley from his extensive Raildata collection.

Although delivered by Dickson as a saturated-steam engine (Locobase 7762), this Eight-wheeler received a useful degree of superheater enhancement to go with its relatively generous firebox heating surface. The diagram notes that 935 was scrapped in January 1934.

Class E- 69 - 20.7 (Locobase 7762)

Data from MP SUBS 7 - 1935 Locomotive Diagrams supplied in May 2005 by Allen Stanley from his extensive Raildata collection.

This set of Eight-wheelers represent later development of the classic 4-4-0 as a local-service passenger engine.
