Data from MP 8-1936 Locomotive Diagrams supplied in May 2005 by Allen Stanley from his extensive Raildata collection. Locobase 7819 describes the orgins of this southern Texas railroad. Works number was 1229 in 1912.

This little American owns a couple of distinctions. It was the only locomotive bought new by the Sausage Route and it was one of the first rod-driven engines to be supplied by Lima. It was small, oil-fired, and not especially noteworthy, but useful and long-lived.
