Like the D5, the sketch is of a design for a Consolidation that was never actually built, according to Corbin & Kerka (1960). Locobase isn't sure why they said that, as it seems the class went into service on the KC & NC and were teken into the Quincy, Omaha & Kansas City in 1902.
