http:/fp-www.wwnet.net/`dulong/dssa/locomot.htm. See also Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines, as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 18, p. 36. Works numbers were 12854-12855.

D & W #6 had several owners as it came under the Duluth, Superior & Western in 1894 and. Beginning in 1898, ex-6 operated as Eastern Railway of Minnesota's 297 before being acquired by the Great Northern in their absorption of the ERM. But the GN only used the 297 before selling it to Farmers Grain and Shipping.. The FG & S renumbered it again as 3 and ran it for at least 2 more decades.

7's story is more simply told: In 1894 it passed to the Duluth, South Shore & Atlantic. After more than three decades on the DSS & A, where it fell into the D-3 class and was numbered 500 first, then 415, ex-7 was dismantled in October 1928.
