Class 2 (Locobase 13944)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Volume 53, pp. 312+. Works number was 41462 in June 1914.

As Locobase marches methodically through the several dozen specification volumes digitized by the DeGolyer Library, he is moved occasionally to allow an entry to "jump the queue". So it was for this little Mogul, whose premature preservation in digital amber was sparked by the railroad's name. It seemed so warm and fuzzy.

The NP&FG covered 9 miles of Pennsylvania farmland as an extension of the Stewartstown Railroad; it opened in 1906. In 1923, the Stewartstown took over the NP & FG and renumbered the 2 as their 5. The 5 remained in service for over two decades more before being scrapped in 1947.
