Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 23, p. 29. Works number was 17773 in May 1900.

At this point in its working life, Alabama-based Woodward Iron had bought only small locomotives and the only one of those with a truck was an 1895 2-4-0 described in Locobase 12147. The current entry shows a considerably larger engine that easily could venture on the mainline. It compared favorably to most other Moguls of the time.
