Class 2 (Locobase 14317)

The Alabama Central was based in Jasper, Ala and was incorporated in 1906. Its first 6.7 miles (10.8 km) ended at the Manchester Saw Mill. In 1912, the line extended to Fords, later renamed Sunlight. Before World War One, the ACRR ran twice-a-day passenger service and carried 3,000 passengers a year. This logging Prairie probably served the coal and logging traffic.

The ACRR sold the 2 to locomotive rebuilder/reseller Southern Iron & Equipment in 1933. SI&E sent it on to its second home, Peavey Wilson Lumber Company of Holopaw, Fla., as their #6. It ran until it was scrapped in 1951.


Class 7 (Locobase 14282)

The Rowland Lumber Company bought this engine to lease to its captive A&C railroad. It connected Warsaw, NC, on the Atlantic Coast Line, with Kenansville 10 miles away. Even in the early 20s, the A&C maintained passenger service carrying, for example, 12,451 passengers in 1920. Apparently, the railroad kept the engine until it was closed and torn up in 1935


Class 8 (Locobase 14040)

Originally ordered by the Holly Shelter Land Company as their #1, this wood-burning logging Mogul served the Rowland Lumber Company's (of Bowden, North Carolina) 9 1/2 mile (15.3 km) road between Kenansville & Warsaw. Its tender held two cords of wood.
