Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 4 (Locobase 14127)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University, Volume 43, p. 239. Works number was 39381 in February 1913.

The Manchester Saw Mills operated about 6.5 miles of track between Manchester, Ala and Sunlight and sometimes operated logging trains on the nearby Alabama Central Railroad. MSM told the AC in January 1926 that it had finished logging timber in the area. It then sold the 4 to locomotive rebuilder/reseller Birmingham Rail & Locomotive in October 1926. BR&L would sell the 4 more than two years later to Gibson Justis Co in May 1929 as their #12.
