National Coal Company 0-6-0 Locomotives in Philippines

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 1 (Locobase 14740)

Data from DeGolyer, Vol 63, pp. 197. Works numbers were 51921 in June 1919 and 54820 in May 1921.

It wasn't unheard of for a saddle tank operating on a narrow-gauge resource railroad to trail a tender and a look at the relative capacities of tank and tender provide a clue why. The saddle tank draped over the boiler held 400 US gallons (1,514 litres) while the tender held 600 gallons (2,271 litres).
