0-10-0 Locomotives in the USA

Very few 0-10-0s were built in the USA. Railroads preferred either 0-8-0s or articulated locomotives for heavy switching work. The first 0-10-0 built in the USA (1868) was designed by Reuben Wells and still exists at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis bearing the name of its designer.
